A whole lot of new sound has emerged from LA's experimental electronic scene over the past half-decade. Within it, one most remarkable genesis has undeniably been Nosaj Thing, a massively talented producer who has been concocting hip-hop influenced atmospheric contemplations for the sonically hungry. He's honed his craft alongside pioneers such as Flying Lotus in clubs such as LA's notorious Low End Theory, something of a West-coast cradle for the electronically enlightened.
Like many of his contemporaries, Nosaj Thing has a strong foundation in hip-hop which he marries with beatscapes both ambient and spiritual, sometimes adding a hint of glitch and dub step (we're talking the trancy Burial kind, not the Skrillex kind). His 2013 sophomore album, Home, is dark, warm, and swirling, with swinging down-tempo beats and pulsing synths that will seriously send you skyward in ecstasy. Think M83 meets Flying Lotus, or something similarly awesome.
Nosaj Thing has produced for the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Drake, Kid Cudi, and Chance the Rapper, and has remixed Radiohead, Flying Lotus, and The XX, among others. He's deservedly a huge name right now on the forefront of contemporary electronic music, and delivers a damn fierce performance. Come watch a master at work.

韩裔DJ/制作人Nosaj Thing来自洛杉矶，出道于1999年，Hip Hop早就沁入他的创作骨髓，年纪轻轻便在网络爆红，获得全球范围的广泛赞誉和深厚歌迷基础。09年在上海发布首张专辑“Drift”时年仅23岁的Nosaj Thing已为Radiohead作remix，几年历练在这个夏天重归沪城的这位天才少年又厉害了几分。
Nosaj Thing被誉为当下最好的声音创新者之一，无论怎样的机器放到他的手中都能制造出令人惊艳的实验性作品，融合Hip Hop、IDM、Glitch这些元素，加以巧妙编曲，全然是不同于固有思维的异空间体验。2006年自主发行首张EP“View/Octopus”后签入本地厂牌Alpha Pup，还与Rainbow Arabia在IAmSound联名发行单曲。Nosaj Thing自己也经营着一个叫作Timetable的厂牌，签下数名艺人。出色的个人生涯外，Nosaj Thing也为地下嘻哈界操刀制作，帮助Busdriver、Nocando、Flash Bang Grenada等音乐人出品单曲。而为大牌艺人们创作remix也是家常便饭，名单中包括了The xx、Portishead、Health、Jon Hokins。出道至今，Nosaj Thing已在Sónar Festival、Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival等音乐节亮相，还与Ratatat、DJ Shadow、Boards of Canada等音乐人/团体同台演出。
Nosaj Thing今年的新专辑“Home” 转往新兴的大热厂牌Innovative Leisure，再邀得业内强手加盟，除了Blonde Redhead主唱Kazu Makino在献声，还同Toro Y Moi合作一曲，赚足歌迷期待之心。
