Right after the Chinese New Year holiday we are excited to invite you to another amazing showcase of mind and body cleansing music. This time we are bringing a multi-instrumentalist going by the name of Pomo[HW&W] all the way up from Vancouver, Canada. 

The spotlight on Pomo landed when he was featured in his now label mates Kaytranada's live sets and also received recognition from the likes of Disclosure, Bondax and Gramatik. Since then the Canadian has entered the international market while receiving features from media and music outlets like Vice's Noisey, Soulection Radio, Thump and many more.

Pomo is not limiting himself to one genre of music and draws influences from different artists. With the elements of Hip-Hop, Electronic and 70's/80's Funk the producer approaches his sound with an organically raw perspective which attracts people with its universal dynamics and a sonically pleasant atmosphere. 

Some of the finest talented Canadians work include song "Dang!" produced for Mac Miller which was release on his fourth studio album "The Divine Feminine" and also Anderson Paak's single "Am I Wrong" featuring Schoolboy Q released on Anderson's second studio album "Malibu".  Listen to the both songs below.

原名David Pimentel的Pomo早已成为近两年EDM界最令人惊喜的力量之一。他大胆前卫的风格、细腻多变的音乐感觉为他在电子音乐领域建立了杰出的声誉。2016年，Pomo的EP<The Other Day>为他赢得了有加拿大格莱美之称的Juno奖年度电子专辑，一跃成为行业内顶尖电子制作人。

Pomo的事业起步于温哥华，但他的才华真正显露则是在他决定前往蒙特利尔发展之后。就在蒙特利尔，Pomo碰到了好友Kaytranada——当今最红的制作人之一。二人一见如故，每天泡在一起，互相激发灵感。Kaytranada的帮助让Pomo顺利拿到了HW&W厂牌的合约。

是金子迟早会发光，Pomo很快引起了更主流的关注。他的作品<So Fine>被Disclosure、DJFalcon加入了歌单，这对当时的Pomo来说不啻为巨大的鼓励。2014年，在twitter上的几次交流又让Pomo和Anderson.Paak熟络起来，Pomo的小样<Am I Wrong>引起了Paak极大的兴趣。共同努力下，诞生了这首令人难忘的精彩单曲。

在不断涌现高质量作品之后，2016年Pomo的首张个人EP<The Other Day>赢得了Juno奖的年度电子专辑荣誉。对这个结果，Pomo自己表现的十分腼腆，直呼没想到。但这个奖项的意义对他不言自明，他的音乐确确实实的得到了广泛的承认。

区别于一般的DJ或电子音乐人，Pomo的现场尤以加入多种乐器的live set而令人耳目一新。相比于单纯在笔记本电脑上演奏音乐，键盘、drum pad等的运用令Pomo的现场表演充满层次以及即兴的活力。Pomo在现场表演上展现出了非同一般的见解：“我认为过去环绕在DJ上的神秘感近几年有些消退了，人们在期待新的东西，live set可就需要实实在在的功力了。”
