Gavin Turek is a disco queen from LA with big hair and even bigger beats. Spin Magazine named her in their top 5 artists to watch for in July 2015 after she sold out shows at iconic Los Angeles venues such as the Troubadour and El Rey Theater.

She’s worked with other funky, soulful acts such as Mayer Hawthorne and Chromeo. However, her most significant collaborator is indie-dance producer, Tokimonsta. The pair met during the medieval times on Myspace, and have been tight ever since. Turek’s well-received 2015 album “You’re Invited” was entirely produced by Tokimonsta.

Her latest single “On the Line,” which was released this year, is a groovy tune that channels all those feel-good disco ball vibes. Turek is a modern day Donna Summers who bridges the time gap between now and 70s, effortlessly blending pop and disco.
