Acid Washed is a two-man process primarily, deteriorating sound amongst souvenirs, friends, home studios and analogue equipment. It follows the blueprint devised over the past year by Richard D’Alpert and Andrew Claristidge: two DJ’s keen on using modern and vintage equipment to create sophisticated electronics with a sharp pop aesthetic.

The romantic and cinematic vision of Acid Washed slots in perfectly alongside the widescreen zombie electro of Kavinsky and the sophisticated bedroom grooves recently put out by Sébastien Tellier.

Since the release of their debut album, Acid Washed’s luscious disco has steadily gained admirers from all corners of the globe. From Cannes to New York, Berlin to London with fashion designer Jenny Packham, their reputation as DJs and live performers is growing.

Any downtime from life on the road has been poured back into remixing others. Reworks for the likes of Kelis, Wolfmother, DATA, Arnaud Rebotini, Eliza Doolittle causing a stir on the blogosphere.
 

Acid Washed是由Richard D'Alpert和Andrew Clarstidge两人组成的电子音乐先锋组合。他们二人习惯用先锋的和过时的两种风格的设备一起工作，制造出一种完全不同的前卫之声。对于那些习惯于制造唱片的电子音乐人来说，一般都喜欢去外边采集各种声音，但是Acid Wahed更喜欢去采集一些像Kavinsky和Sebastian Tellier一般的声音，那种声音充满了浪漫情节，这正是Acid Washed最热衷的感觉。 

一切起源于2009夏天的布列塔尼，Acid Washed的一名成员隐居在一所乡下的旧房子里，在那里成立了一个家庭工作室。他专注于声音的本源，并且专注于节拍和旋律，汲取着诸多老唱片之中的灵感。 在经过一系列不规律的生活以及对当地夜生活的采样和钻研之后，他们的创作突飞猛进地开始呈现出了一种不可思议的美感。 而在这种创作几乎已经完成的时候，他们从非洲邀请了几个朋友，在他们二人的创作之中又加入了一些奇妙的元素，对他们的音乐进行最后的润色。

歌手Lippie的声音让他们的音乐呈现出了一种更不同的效果。由她献声的作品Apply仿佛充满了太空的神秘氛围，Snows Melt则仿佛是积雪融化时水汽扩散般的人间仙境。Snow Melt由Get Physical公司的CHristian Kreuz参与制作。 随着乐队的不断发展，客座整容也在不断地增大。其中就包括了Sebastian Tellier以及Phoenix等等。他们的音乐越来越多的偏向于多元化，基于Disco、Ambient、Funk等不同的元素。呈现出一派如法国音乐人本身固有的融合特色。

Acid Washed也因此固定了他们的音乐类型和阵容。但是如果你要究其所以然，那这一切都只有一个解释—不确定。 他们的音乐展现着复古未来花的时尚美学，用复古的旋律加上迷幻的氛围营造出太空般的质感，同时再加上复古的古典，听起来简单，但却让人回味无穷。 他们宇宙般的氛围音乐融合了French House以及由芝加哥和底特律引进的DFA乐队的独特Disco曲风，他们的音乐却有其独一无二的特征。

他们是在用Techno的方式来制作音乐，但是又和传统的电子音乐人不同。他们的现场集合了音乐，VJ等多种元素。采用单线条的色彩不断变化和图形的不同组合产生别样的化学效应，利用声、光、影像等多种介质来一起呈现完全不同的音乐效果。这个充满了各种令人不可思议的乐队即将在接下来的中国之行中为所有人带来不可思议的惊喜。
